Georgensgmünd, 23/08/2019: This year, thomas betonbauteile Georgensgmünd GmbH & Co. KG is investing around 6 million euros in the Georgensgmünd plant. The concrete components plant produces prefabricated ceilings, solid walls, staircases and balconies for residential construction and has been part of the medium-sized thomas gruppe since September 2017. The concrete mixing plant was completely refurbished and upgraded to the latest state-of-the-art. An environmentally-friendly recycling plant for residual concrete was also added. A new environmentally-friendly gas heater was installed in the kiln for the prefabricated ceilings, whose residual heat will be used for drying. In September, important parts of the plant in the ceiling production department will be upgraded, the steel and lattice girder processing area renovated and the circulation system equipped with the latest control technology. This will further improve the quality, increase capacity and also reduce the noise pollution.
