On Thursday, September 28, 2023, the 9th Concrete Components Topics took place in Berlin. Under this year’s theme “Building with precast concrete elements – yesterday, today and tomorrow”, our customers were able to gain interesting insights into various topics.

Speakers from various fields gave their technical presentations in the morning, offering valuable insights and perspectives. The first lecture was dedicated to the topic “Building with concrete in changing times”, presented by Sergej Tchoban of Tchoban Voss Architects.

Prof. Dr. Mike Schlaich from the Technical University of Berlin provided a perspective on the current state of the art in lightweight construction and showed possibilities to realize durable construction.

Digital project management in BIM projects was impressively presented by Mr. Ulf Reuther from thomas gruppe, underlining the increasing importance of technology and innovation in construction.

Finally, Ms. Natalie Keller from Keller Baurecht broadened our horizon with her presentation on “Exposed Concrete and Contract Law”. Her repeated participation in our event highlighted her expertise and valuable contribution.

In the afternoon, we were able to enjoy a “somewhat different construction site tour” on the Spree River in bright sunshine. This not only allowed us to explore Berlin from a different perspective, but also provided insights into our own construction sites at thomas betonbauteile.

The day culminated in the evening with a joint dinner followed by our “thomas Casino”. Here our customers could dive into an entertaining world and try their luck with play money without having to worry.

All in all, it was an all-round successful event that underlined our determination to remain a strong and reliable partner for our customers in the future. We look forward to continuing to accompany you in your construction projects and to being successful together.

In September we celebrate a very special anniversary – 30 years of our Löbnitz site in Saxony-Anhalt. It is an occasion that fills us with pride and prompts us to express our sincere thanks to our employees and customers.

Over the past three decades, we have experienced ups and downs together, mastered challenges and celebrated successes. Without the support, trust and loyalty of our customers, this would not have been possible.

But special thanks are also due to our employees. You are the heart of our company and have contributed significantly to our success with your commitment, expertise and team spirit. Through your hard work and dedication, you have made our site what it is today – a place where innovation, quality and customer satisfaction take center stage.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for your loyalty, your support and your cooperation. Thank you for the many unforgettable moments we have shared together. Without you, we would not be here where we are today.

We look forward to continuing to celebrate new successes together in the years to come. Here’s to the next 30 years at our Löbnitz location!

On 09.09.22, a big summer party was celebrated on the premises of thomas betonbauteile in Georgensgmünd.

Around 120 invited guests took their seats in the specially erected marquee. Employees of the thomas group, the Georgensgmünd site, the managing director Jörg Staiger as well as the owner Eckhardt Thomas proudly presented the reconstruction results to the partners and customers of the region. With an investment sum of approx. 6.5 million € and a total of three years of conversion work, the precast concrete plant was completely renovated and modernised, turning “old” into “new”. Only the supporting structure is still reminiscent of the old plant.

The guests present were able to take a close look at all the innovations during guided tours of the plant and received further information on production and the modernisation work. In addition, they were given an insight into the working methods at thomas betonbauteile and were allowed to get to know selected workplaces from CAD, scheduling and work preparation. The brave among the guests were allowed to enjoy the view from a height of 30 metres down from the mixing tower. With subsequent catering in the marquee, the afternoon was brought to a close with interesting conversations and delicious food.
