On Thursday, September 28, 2023, the 9th Concrete Components Topics took place in Berlin. Under this year’s theme “Building with precast concrete elements – yesterday, today and tomorrow”, our customers were able to gain interesting insights into various topics.

Speakers from various fields gave their technical presentations in the morning, offering valuable insights and perspectives. The first lecture was dedicated to the topic “Building with concrete in changing times”, presented by Sergej Tchoban of Tchoban Voss Architects.

Prof. Dr. Mike Schlaich from the Technical University of Berlin provided a perspective on the current state of the art in lightweight construction and showed possibilities to realize durable construction.

Digital project management in BIM projects was impressively presented by Mr. Ulf Reuther from thomas gruppe, underlining the increasing importance of technology and innovation in construction.

Finally, Ms. Natalie Keller from Keller Baurecht broadened our horizon with her presentation on “Exposed Concrete and Contract Law”. Her repeated participation in our event highlighted her expertise and valuable contribution.

In the afternoon, we were able to enjoy a “somewhat different construction site tour” on the Spree River in bright sunshine. This not only allowed us to explore Berlin from a different perspective, but also provided insights into our own construction sites at thomas betonbauteile.

The day culminated in the evening with a joint dinner followed by our “thomas Casino”. Here our customers could dive into an entertaining world and try their luck with play money without having to worry.

All in all, it was an all-round successful event that underlined our determination to remain a strong and reliable partner for our customers in the future. We look forward to continuing to accompany you in your construction projects and to being successful together.

The team of thomas betonbauteile Hennickendorf

We, thomas betonbauteile, participated in the training fair in Petershagen-Fredersdorf from May 5 to 6 and were more than satisfied with the result.
The stand was ideally placed and the fair as a whole was very well organized.
Our hands-on activity, where visitors could try out small quick concrete jobs, was a complete success and opened many contacts.

On Friday, mainly young people came through the hall, while on Saturday both parents and young people came by with specific ideas.
We had good discussions and are confident that we will be able to attract new apprentices as a result.

The organization of the two days was mainly in the hands of our 2nd year apprentices, Thomas Lieder and Nils Clemens Dzurny. They were supported by Manja Ebert (billing clerk) and Katrin Schulz (trainer and plant manager), both of whom could be found at the stand around the clock.

Thomas and Nils were also available for interviews on the trade fair stage and cut a good figure there.

All in all, we had a lot of fun representing our location and the thomas gruppe at the trade fair.
We are proud of our trainees and the entire team that contributed to this successful appearance.

Fehrbellin - School class

Under the motto “Companies at schools”, an event was held on 19.01. to support students in their search for an apprenticeship. The Fontane School in Neuruppin revived this event after Corona and many companies from the area took part – including us!

Together with our colleagues from the Fehrbellin site, we were able to give the inquisitive students an insight into the field of concrete components. Afterwards, a question and answer session took place, which was accepted with great interest by the students.

We, thomas betonbauteile Fehrbellin, welcome and support such events. We also have to think about the new generation and the future of the sites. Thus, the event of the FontaneSchule is a successful opportunity to give an insight and to exchange ideas.
