thomas Concrete Components invests in the Delbrück plant

Delbrück-Boke, 21/08/2019: This year, thomas betonbauteile Delbrück GmbH & Co. KG is investing over 3 million euros in the plant in Delbrück Boke. The concrete components plant produces prefabricated ceilings, staircases and balconies for residential construction and has been part of the medium-sized thomas gruppe since 2012.

“We are very grateful to Mr Thomas for the investment in the sustainability of the plant as this secures the jobs of 35 employees,” says Regional Manager Hermann Overbeck.

A completely new concrete mixing plant was built on the premises. The plant will be operated by Gloria Transportbeton. The new site directly at the ceiling plant allows the concrete spreader to be directly filled with concrete for ceiling production. In addition, the new concrete mixing plant has an environmentally-friendly recycling plant into which any remaining concrete can be washed out and reused.

The ceiling production at the plant underwent an extensive upgrade. The circulation system is now equipped with the latest plant engineering with robots for steel and lattice girder processing. The kiln was expanded and a new environmentally-friendly gas heater installed. The better hot air distribution also enabled drying times to be optimised.
